1. What class rapids will guests be riding on the river?
a. How safe is the trip?
Up to class 3 rapids maximum, mostly less and very safe, great for families.
2. What is the minimum age kids have to be to participate?
Five years of age minimum.
3. Do you provide coolers for the food and drinks people have to bring?
a. Do you provide drinking water?
We provide coolers, you bring water and drinks.
b. Can people bring alcohol?
If they don’t plan to drive home.
c. Is there a store in Happy Camp that people can stop at to purchase food and drinks?
Yes, well stocked market.
4. What is the maximum number of people that can be accommodated?
20 total
5. How many big boats are there?
3, each carries 5 people
6. How many kayaks are there?
6, one paddler each
a. How old do you have to be to paddle a kayak?
13 years of age minimum.
b. Do you have to wear a helmet in the kayaks?
Yes and everyone wears a personal flotation device.
7. What days are trips available?
Every day of the week during our season.
8. What time do guests need to be to the river by?
10 am rendezvous at the put in.
9. How long does it take to get to the river from the treehouses?
1 hour drive.
a. How long does it take do get back from the end of the trip to the treehouses?
1 hour 15 minutes.
b. Are guests shuttled back from the end of the trip to the put in spot to pick up their car, or are they required to be part of the shuttle?
Depends how many are on the trip that day. They can pay to have their car shuttled down to the take out, or a limit of 6 can fit in Travis’ car back to the put in.
10. How people book:
We will have an online reservation system soon, until then please call the Treesort office and relay the credit card info and preferred dates you like.
a. What do you require in terms of payment at time of booking?
Pay in full when you book.
b. What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 30 days from trip you will get 80% refund. If you cancel within 15-30 days before your trip you will get a 50% refund. If you cancel 1-15 days before trip there are no refunds, but you can reschedule for another day at no extra charge. ‘Smoke days’ are closures determined by the National Forest and can be rescheduled, otherwise we go.
